It’s been said that kids don’t come with instruction manuals but now they can come with an Iphone app. Tim Hanners, Senior Vice President of Cook Children’s Healthcare System stopped by the studio to introduce us to the new Check-Up IPhone App!

Acoording to Hanners, the new Check-Up App provides great information to moms. “You can find out anything from soup to nuts about kids on the app,” says Hanners. “For instance, many parents have come across situations or an injury and wonder if it warrants a trip to the emergency room. You can go to the app and under the heading, ‘Is This an Emergency’ are more than 25 common everyday situations you might encounter. The app gives clear and concise information, do’s and don’ts, and tells you the proper way to treat the child. Other things you’ll find are quick read bulleted instruction sheets that describe various topics, what to do it they occur, when to seek medical information and how to prevent issues. Contact numbers, maps to more than 50 Cook Children’s locations and even positive parenting advise for busy parents.”
