Children are the future of our world and by teaching them to focus on the positive and the good, they can alleviate the negative in their lives, making the world a better place to be.

Sami, Tell us about yourself, what fun things do you like to do?
I am 7 years old and homeschooled. I like to ice skate, do gymnastics, play with my friends, read and play outside.

Caryn, at 6 years old your daughter has written a book teaching gratitude to children. How did this come about?
Sami wanted a gratitude book like my husband and I use and we could not find one in the stores. When I told her there were no books like this available for kids, she said that was ok, we would just make one, so we did.

They read the affirmations and answer the questions and draw pictures about things they are grateful for.

Sami, what age group is the book for?
Kids of all ages can use the book. For the little kids who can’t write, they can draw pictures and their parents can help them answer the questions. Adults can use the book too!

Caryn, I understand you and Sami have another project coming out this summer, tell us a bit about that?
Sami is involved in a joint venture with a lady in Washington state. The project allows kids to work on their goals and watch something special grow while they do this. It is geared for school-aged children and is a great item for classroom learning.

Children are our present and our future. It is up to parents to teach their kids about being grateful and focusing on positive things. Kids are fearless and if we as parents remember that, encourage them to take chances and go for the dreams they have, their futures will be extremely bright.
