Luke (age 6) and I were at the park. He was excited for me to see him swing from the monkey bars. As he swung from one to the next he said,
“You know, books are like heaven.”
Surprised I said, “Why do you say that Luke?”
He replied,
“They are full of miracles, and beauty and nature and love.”
We were both quiet and then I asked, “What made you say that Luke?”
He jumped down from the monkey bars and whispered, “I don’t know… I just love books.”
